Johnson Library Mission Statement

The mission of the library program is to foster a student-centered environment, where the entire school community is supported in the pursuit of the district mission to encourage “engaging and challenging learning experiences, which foster creativity, curiosity, and innovation.” Through collaboration with all members of the school community, the library program will operate with the intent to foster a lifelong love of reading and learning, as well as a deep understanding of access, evaluation, and the ethical and safe use of literary, information and multimedia forms of information.  Additionally, the library serves as a safe center for the consumption and production of information, as well as a center for students to explore, experiment, risk-take and grow in their own personal understanding.
