The 3rd grade is working on an economics project and they created magnets and plagues of the Johnson school building. You will be able to purchase them at S.T.E.A.M night on Thursday March 21, from 5-7. S.T.E.A.M night is in the gym. The plaque costs $10 and the magnets costs $5 . If you buy the magnet and plaque together, it will costs $12.Now let’s hear what Mrs. Shadwell has to say about the project, ”I’m pretty excited that they are using the Glow Forge. I hope that with the new school changes, the community will remember the old school. And that the high schoolers from Highlands came to help take pictures. I hope that we still get to do this project in the trailers.” We hope to see you there!

Should Mrs. Zimmerman get a Hairless cat????
I think Mrs. Zimmerman should get a cat. She should get a cat because………
Hairless cats are hairless so It wouldn’t cause hair allergies.
Pets are normally kept In cages so the cat can be kept in a cage so it won’t run out or escape the library. If a student got mystery student that person could pet the cat as a reward. Having a hairless cat in the library can make library fun to go to because they can see the cat. Cats sleep most of the day so it shouldn’t be trouble if people don’t like the cat. They are potty trained so when it has to go to the bathroom It can go to a designated spot. Cats can reduce stress and make you happy. The cat can catch mice and critters around the school. That is why I think that Mrs. Zimmerman should get a hairless cat!

I think Mrs Zimmerman shouldn’t get a cat. She shouldn’t get a cat because it kids don’t like the smell of the cats food. If the cats don’t like kids it could scratch them. The cats can eat supplies and not let the kids or teachers get work done. The cats can claw up the furniture and can make it get ruined. They can be hard to train like kids and where would they go at night. And finally how will they use the restroom?

Hi students and teachers! On April 8th you will be moving into the new trailers! They are moving us during spring break. How do you feel about moving?
We would like to know!
I feel like it will be fun because we will get to know the people in our school better. I think we should sometimes be able to eat outside because it might be nice especially when we move because it will be close to summer!
We are going to be eating lunch in the field house. We will be having recess on half of the football field and if it is indoor the we will be going in the field house.
We will have two classes per trailer with some mixed grades, but that is ok because soon we will have a brand new school that will be awesome!
I feel like we should have septet trailers for specials because it will be more nice. I also think that we should be able to have stuff like jump ropes, balls, and Hula hoops.
Comment below how you feel about us moving and what you think that we should have when we move.
On November 15 we will be having a Thanksgiving Feast in the cafeteria! We will be having yummy roast turkey , mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed corn, a dinner roll , and Pumpkin Pie! Yum! Hope you enjoy the thanksgiving feast! - Rowan Fry
I’m Rowan Fry and I was Minnie Mouse for Halloween. I had a red dress with polka dots and a little bow . I loved the Minnie ears! I was soaked by the end of the night. My boots were muddy, and I was more of a wet Minnie! - Rowan Fry
Did you like the Veterans Day assembly? Did you know it was designed by only 5th graders? Well it was...
Did you go to the Hullabaloo Saturday? Well everyone had a blast! There was everything you could imagine games, food trucks, hairspray, and more!
There were 3 food trucks including Marty’s waffles. Marty’s waffles has every waffle you can imagine. They even have a s’mores one. Yummy! One food truck was selling hot chocolate, and that was a big hit!
I saw the most beautiful hair color after being in the hair spray booth! There were greens, blues, purples, pinks, reds, oranges, yellows, and sooooooooo many more! I wish I got my hair done!
There were many games including ring a soda, duck pond, feed-n-time, and lots more. You could win tickets to get prizes or you could win treats! If you got enough tickets you could win the coolest prizes!
The silent auction was......... well silent! I hope I won something! Hey, did you see the school spirit wear stuff? The shirts were the best! Can you believe that our school will be new in 3 years? Imagine how much more awesome Hullabaloo will be then! To bad I won’t be here! (I’m in 5th grade)
Today I interviewed Mr.G and Mrs.Dikeos about the Johnson construction and I had 3 questions which were:
The first question I asked them was what do you think of the new building design and this is what they had to say:
Mrs.Dikeos:”Oh, the new building design, I love the new building design. It looks like it fits right into the neighborhood. I’ve actually been told that some people like it. What about you Mr.G?”
Mr.G:”Yeah, uhh, I think it’s great. I think it’s creative. And I love how it all fits together and blends in with the neighborhood like Mrs.Dikeos says.”
Next, I asked, “What are you most excited about in the new building design?”
Mrs.Dikeos:”Ok I’m gonna say that I’m most excited about everyone being under one roof.”
Mr.G:”Yes, I would say everyone having their own space and everyone being able to ya know make that space their own. But I’m I also think that having everyone in one big building.”
Mrs.Dikeos but’s in:” YESSSS!”
Mr.G:”But, I also think having everyone in one big building will allow everyone to see each other more and work together more.”
Finally, I asked the last question which was how do you feel about the upcoming construction?
Mrs.Dikeos:”Hmmmmm how do we feel about the upcoming construction?”
Mr.G:”We feel pretty good. Probably a little bit of nervousness and excitement.”
Mrs.Dikeos:”Yes excited, but really nervous too because we ya know if I could snap my fingers and have it done then that would be perfect. But I know that it’s gonna take some time and we are gonna have some bumps in the road but we will get over it.”
Mr.G:”We will make it!”
And that is how they feel!
