Did you know
art speaks?
It's a powerful tool.

Creativity
We each have a unique perspective. Share it!

Art exists around each and every one of us every day! Studying both historical and contemporary artists broadens our understanding and appreciation for art in its many contexts. Where do YOU see art in your world?
Visual Art at Johnson Elementary is brimming with exciting creative experiences in our choice-based classroom! In addition to learning about a variety of fine artists, students will have the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of materials and art media, as well as interpret and value the many art forms and careers around the world. With focus, attitude, creativity, and effort, each student recognizes how to visually explore their personal styles and interests as an ARTIST.

Process:
Plan it - Make it - Reflect on it - Share it

What's the Big Idea? Students will strive to create artwork with personal connections and deeper meaning. The big ideas we will consider include: Community, Culture, Communication, & Creativity.
See you in the studio,
Mrs. Flynn
